I have over 20 years of experience in a variety of land, property, technology and building projects in Weipa, Gladstone and Toowoomba.

I’ll help bridge the gap between the construction industry and you, the client, through clear communication and regular progress reports.

 The Process

  • 1. Planning Phase

    Before we start a project we need to understand what we are trying to achieve, what resources we need and explore the options for how we are going to do it.

    Approvals from the relevant authorities should be obtained at this stage.

  • 2. Design Phase

    Once we have an idea of how we are going to do it we need to have it designed by professionals to meet the required standards.

    We need to always check back to ensure we are still heading in the right direction towards the original goal.

  • 3. Construction Phase

    Project documentation from the design phase is used to communicate with the do-ers. This is the time for tenders, quotes, contracts and construction.

    Time, cost and quality management is top of mind, while risks need to identified, addressed and managed.

  • 4. Maintenance Phase

    There is always post-construction tasks to take care of. Rectification of minor defects other responsibilities of the contractor need to be managed through to completion.

    A project manager will assist with all these final tasks that can often fall by the wayside as everyone moves on to their next project.

Early and clear communication is the key to a well managed, shipshape project.

When everyone knows what everyone else is doing, and also knows they’ll be told if something changes, projects can be a pleasure.

Too often, communication is limited and incorrect assumptions are made, leading to costly delays.

I am a AIPM Certified Professional Project Manager (CPPM) with Electrical and Civil Engineering qualifications who specialises in client-side project management.
